Now, the IMAX poster for the film has been released.
Check it out in the gallery here below.
The poster features the character Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, along with the orange and white rolling ball droid BB-8. Their backs are to us as they walk toward a huge sunset, which is reminiscent of Luke Skywalker’s longing for adventure in the first film, Star Wars: A New Hope.
Key sequences of the movie were reported filmed using IMAX cameras, and when viewed in only in IMAX theaters, these will expand vertically to fill the entire screen.
The IMAX release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of An IMAX 3D Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
