Stephen Amell will be guest starring in The CW’s new spinoff series, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. But that’s not news, right? The Flash and Arrow‘s lovechild took members from each cast, and those shows always share guests. I mean, Stephen Amell was in Episode 1 giving advice to Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh).
But today, just a short time ago… Amell went live on Facebook and announced that he will be guesting in episode 106 of Legends of Tomorrow, and that episode will include some surprises.
Check out Amell’s video announcement here below.
Amell says, “I’m gonna be appearing on episode 106 of Legends with the goatee, one arm, and we’re gonna meet Connor Hawke. The lesson is always… never say never.” The never he is referring to is when fans went crazy last year when Amell had a goatee, but he denied on Twitter that Oliver Queen would ever have one.
EP Marc Guggenheim said of the episode:
“Every once and a while, we do an episode where the 10-year-old me has to pinch himself. We’re not only introducing our version of Connor Hawke to our universe, we’re going to meet the 2046 version of Oliver Queen, and Stephen Amell is going to be reprising his role from Arrow. As an added bonus to comic-book fans, Oliver is missing his left arm and will be sporting a goatee, in a nod to the character’s appearance in the seminal Dark Knight Returns. We think this episode features some of the coolest things we’ve ever done.”
Comic fans know that Connor Hawke is the son of Oliver Queen and Sandra “Moonday” Hawke, and becomes the second Green Arrow. Squee!!!
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs Thursdays and Arrow airs Wednesdays, both at 8:00pm ET on The CW.
