Paramount Pictures has just revealed the Super Bowl TV spot for 10 Cloverfield Lane, the Bad Robot “blood relative” to the first Cloverfield film.
Watch the new spot here below.
Like its J.J. Abrams-produced predecessor was, the new film is shrouded in a veil of mystery. But much of the rumors we’ve been hearing have been confirmed. Like Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s character wakes up in an underground bunker and her savior (John Goodman) tells her that she suffered an accident and that that a nuclear attack has devastated society. Perhaps that is why he doesn’t want to let her and fellow bunkmate (John Gallagher Jr.) leave yet.
But exactly what is out there that has Goodman’s character spooked is unclear. But maybe the clues lie within the trailer.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, 10 Cloverfield Lane opens in theaters on March 11, 2015.
