This isn’t your grandfather’s Bigfoot!

Isn’t every cat a hero? Or a dictator. Mine might be more the latter…

The House Of Montresor #3The House Of Montresor #3

Artist: Jason Strutz
Cover: Jason Strutz
$3.99

Edana Fortunato is the sole surviving heir of two great families: clan Fortunato and the House of Montresor. Inheriting the money depends on Edana proving she is of sound mind, but even she doubts her sanity as the very walls of the house seem to be closing in. When Ingrid goes missing, Count Montresor reveals more sordid family secrets. Edana is about to learn there is more to fear than she ever dreamed.

Depraved vengeance continues in The House of Montresor, a sequel to Edgar Allan Poe’s classic tale, “The Cask of Amontillado.”

I haven’t read the first two, but this definitely has me looking for them. Besides, it’s based on Poe.

Just Another Sheep, Vol. 1Just Another Sheep, Vol. 1

Writer: Mat Heagerty
Artist Name:JD Faith
Colorist: (issue 1) Jon Cairns, (issues 2-3) Paul John Little, (issues 4-5) Marissa Louise
Letterer: (issues 1-3) Ed Brisson, (issues 4-5) Colin Bell
$17.99

During the summer of 1969, a timid teen named Banning sets off on a road trip to find out just how he got his bizarre super human abilities. Banning’s strange trip is filled with war protests, secret organizations, hippies, car chases, budding romance, and a lot of poor choices! Sixties sci-fi adventure awaits!

Imagine, if you will, an amalgam of all those old Saturday afternoon science fiction movies turned into a 160-page comic that you can clutch in your hand as you realize that it’s only funny because most of it is plausible now. Reading this is just like that. It’s campy in a good way, but with an eye on the violence and bigotry of yesteryear.
