A first look preview of the upcoming alien movie Arrival has been released by Paramount Pictures.
The movie follows a team tasked with finding out why mysterious spacecrafts from another world have landed in various locations around the world, and whether they come in peace or they intend to harm. It stars Amy Adams (American Hustle, Man of Steel), Jeremy Renner (The Avengers, The Hurt Locker), and Forest Whitaker (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Last King of Scotland), and is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Blade Runner 2).
Continue below to watch the video.
Arrival is based on on the Ted Chiang novella Story of Your Life, and the movie adaptation was written by Eric Heisserer (Lights Out, 2011’s The Thing).
Watching this video, the movie reminds me a little of the documentary-style filmThe Visit from last year.
A full trailer for Arrival, which hits theaters on November 11th, will be released next Tuesday.
