Netflix continues to release impressive trailers for intriguing new movies and TV shows. This time it’s for an original movie titled The Discovery, and it looks like one hell of trip.

The strange looking movie is a science fiction romance, telling the story of two people who fall in love in a time when the afterlife is not one of life’s greatest and most debated mysteries anymore—it’s been scientifically proven to be real. Because of this astonishing discovery, an alarming number of people are killing themselves off. If you know there’s more after death why wait, right?

One year after the existence of the afterlife is scientifically verified, millions around the world have ended their own lives in order to “get there”. A man and woman fall in love while coming to terms with their own tragic pasts and the true nature of the afterlife. Coming to Netflix March 31.

The movie stars Rooney Mara, Jason Segel, Robert Redford, Jesse Plemons, and Riley Keough. It’s directed by Charlie McDowell (The One I Love) and written by McDowell and Justin Lader (who also penned the screenplay for The One I Love).
