Syfy has released a new trailer for Blood Drive, their upcoming ultra-violent grindhouse series.
The series is set in a not-too-distant future Los Angeles, where the days are hot and water and gasoline are not at all easy things to come by. And so, naturally, humans now fuel their vehicles with human blood!
You can read more about Blood Drive and watch the new trailer below.
ABOUT:
Los Angeles in the near future: where water is a scarce as oil, and climate change keeps the temperature at a cool 115 in the shade. It’s a place where crime is so rampant that only the worst violence is punished, and where Arthur Bailey “” the city’s last good cop “” runs afoul of the dirtiest and meanest underground car rally in the world: Blood Drive. The master of ceremonies is a vaudevillian nightmare, the drivers are homicidal deviants, and the cars run on human blood. Buckle Up, Lube Up and prepare for everything you know about Cable Television to Blow up!
The only real bummer about this new show is that it’s on Syfy. It’s hard to do grindhouse when restrictions are involved, and while it does look all kinds of ooey gooey gory, Syfy does have restrictions to the content they can air. They wouldn’t even be able to air these trailers on their channel, sadly, which doubles as a semi-NSFW warning.
But that’s mainly for language. As we’ve learned in recent years, pretty much anything goes when it comes to violence on TV (a little violence never hurt anyone), but the human body and certain naughty words are the Devil trying to ruin your life. Only those who watch shows on the evil premium channels are open to that sort of malicious programming. I suggest watching only the fine programming on channels like ABC, NBC, and CBS to avoid such things. Hope you like doctors and cops.
Blood Drive is set to premiere on June 14th. If you missed the first trailer for the show, I’ve also included that below.
Trailers
Blood Drive is a new grindhouse series offering the maximum amount of carnage allowed on cable television. Contains violence, profanity and graphic milkening. Viewer discretion strongly advised.
In the Grindhouse-infected future of 1999, Arthur Bailey is the last good cop among a horde of corrupt officials. He’s about to get caught up in a race where the cars run on human blood and failure means your head explodes.
