At San Diego Comic-Con last Friday, Lucasfilm publishing held a panel for fans of the plethora of stories in the expanded Star Wars universe. Lucasfilm’s Michael Siglain moderated the panel which included: Ben Blacker, author of the Join the Resistance series, Cullen Bunn, author of Star Wars: Darth Maul, Landry Walker of Star Wars Adventures, Claudia Gray, author of Leia: Princess of Alderaan, Jarrett J. Krosoczka, author of Star Wars Jedi Academy: The Force Oversleeps, Beth Revis, author of Star Wars: Rebel Rising, and much more.
Check out the entire panel from SDCC 2017 below.
Some highlights:
– Ben described his upcoming project, which is a middle grade book that takes place right before The Force Awakens, about a “bunch of kids who join the resistance.”
– Blauvelt’s book is for people who are new to the Star Wars lore.
– Bun’s book gives Darth Maul layers in his story.
– Golden’s is the prequel to the Battlefront 2 game soon to be out.
– Gray wrote a Leia origin story (this is the first one I’m purchasing).
– Revis’s book is about Jyn Erso, and her time from when she is rescued from the hatch by Saw Gerrera in Rogue One, until we see her in prison.
The panel is super interesting for both Star Wars fans and fans of sci-fi fiction. Take a gander.
