| Ian McKellen Might Be Up For Playing Gandalf Again In Amazon’s ‘Lord Of The Rings’ Series
A little over a month ago it was confirmed that Amazon Studios was committed to making a multi-season TV series adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s The Lord of the Rings. We’re a long way from casting on that show to begin, but one familiar name sounds ready to sign on: none other than Ian McKellen. The actor has played Gandalf in director Peter Jackson’s two massive movie trilogies, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. When asked about Amazon’s show recently, it sounded like McKellen might just be up for reprising his role as the great wizard in the series…if he were asked to. See what he had to say below.

| First Trailer For Disney’s ‘The Nutcracker and The Four Realms’ Released
Recently we saw some images from Disney’s upcoming adaptation of author E.T.A. Hoffmann‘s 1816 story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, titled The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. The movie stars Mackenzie Foy, Helen Mirren, Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman, Jayden Fowora-Knight, and Misty Copeland, and is directed by Lasse Hallström (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, The Cider House Rules). | First Trailer For ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ Sequel/Spinoff ‘Ocean’s 8’ Released
Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first trailer for Ocean’s 8, a sequel and spinoff to Steven Soderbergh‘s 2001 Ocean’s Eleven remake and its two sequels, Ocean’s Thirteen and Ocean’s Thirteen. The movie stars Sandra Bullock, who we now know is playing the sister of George Clooney’s Danny Ocean character from the previous movies. She’s joined on the cast by Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Richard Armitage, and James Corden. It’s directed by Gary Ross, who previously helmed Pleasantville, Seabiscuit, The Hunger Games, and Free States of Jones, from a script he co-wrote with Olivia Milch. Star Wars: The Last Jedi was a major hit over the weekend, earning over $220 million in the domestic box office. While the film is polarizing, no one can deny the profound impact that Carrie Fisher and her character of Princess Leia had on the immensely popular franchise. Having gone from princess to general, Fisher carved her own mark and defined what it means to be a badass woman. A notion that she had carried with her until her death, and one that has inspired not only her co-stars, but almost every woman on earth. We had a chance to sit down with our fellow journalists to talk to the female cast of The Last Jedi about what it meant to them to star alongside Fisher and what they learned from her during the production of the film. Now that Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been released, fans have had time to digest and think about what they have just seen. It also means that there will be some spoiler pieces coming out this week.
