An official trailer has been released for The Outsider, a crime drama starring Jared Leto coming to Netflix soon.
In the movie, Leto plays an American soldier who ends up joining the Yakuza in post-World War II Japan. Continue below to read an official description and to give the trailer a watch.
DESCRIPTION:
An American soldier imprisoned in postwar Japan enters the dark world of the yakuza, adopting their way of life in repayment for his freedom.
In addition to Leto, the movie stars Min Tanaka, Tadanobu Asano, Kippei Shiina, and Shioli Kutsuna. It’s directed by Danish filmmaker Martin Zandvliet, who made the 2015 Danish-German historical drama Land of Mine also set post-World War II, from a screenplay written by Andrew Baldwin (The Take) based on an original idea from Sons of Anarchy and Lords of Dogtown producer John Linson.
The Outsider will be released on Netflix on March 9th.
