ABOUT:
A new comedy from Academy Award®-nominated director Jason Reitman (“Up in the Air”) and Academy Award®-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (“Juno”). Marlo (Academy Award® winner Charlize Theron), a mother of three including a newborn, is gifted a night nanny by her brother (Mark Duplass). Hesitant to the extravagance at first, Marlo comes to form a unique bond with the thoughtful, surprising, and sometimes challenging young nanny named Tully (Mackenzie Davis).
It’s been over a decade now since Reitman and Cody collaborated on Juno, which won Cody an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and Reitman a nomination for Best Director. They later worked together on 2011’s Young Adult, which also starred Theron, as well as Patton Oswalt and Patrick Wilson.
Reitman’s other directing credits include Thank You for Smoking, Labor Day, Men, Women & Children, and Up in the Air, which scored him three more Oscar nominations (for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Picture).
Cody’s other writing credits include Jennifer’s Body, Ricki and the Flash, and the TV series The United States of Tara, which she created.
Tully will be released in theaters on April 20th.
