Universal Pictures has released the final trailer for Skyscraper starring Dwayne Johnson. The film sees the actor fighting against all height-related odds to save his family from a burning skyscraper taken over by hostile terrorists.

There’s no need to break this trailer down, given that they’ve already released two of them, and we will see more TV spots leading up to the film’s release. But part of this trailer is actually a clip from the movie. In it, we see what Will Sawyer (Johnson) has to do to get across the other side of a burning building. This includes jumping through a fan that is also on fire, which then turns into a flaming tornado. With so many obstacles, what could go wrong? Well, his momentum carries him forward too fast and soon he finds himself dangling from his feet. Unfortunately, it is the same foot that just so happens to be his prosthetic leg.
But this is Dwayne Johnson we are talking about. He’s not about to let something like that get in the way of saving his family. And with a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and (really) big muscles, Johnson will tear this building a new one to save them.
Basically, Skyscraper is the new Die Hard. This does look like a lot of fun though. It’s the typical action summer blockbuster you wouldn’t mind seeing. And this trailer/clip pretty much sells the idea that if you don’t want to see any more sequels or superhero films, then Skyscraper may just be your thing to watch next week.
Skyscraper also stars Neve Campbell, Ng Chin Han, Roland Møller, Pablo Schreiber, and more.
Here’s the official plot synopsis:
Global icon Dwayne Johnson leads the cast of Legendary’s Skyscraper as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Sawyer, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building…above the fire line.
Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, Skyscraper hits theaters on July 13, 2018.
