Spider-Man Homecoming

Normally, we would refrain from writing anything about on set images. Leaked photos are a dime a dozen, and a lot of the time they aren’t the best quality. However, whenever the actors post their own stuff, it gives us the green light.

Now, with production wrapping on Spider-Man: Far From Home, we are getting our first good look at Tom Holland as Peter Parker in his brand new Spider-Man suit. Check out the newest suit below.

The image comes to us from Holland himself who posted it on his personal Instagram account with the caption: “THAT’S A WRAP #farfromhome.”

There isn’t too much to the image itself, it’s just Holland in his Spider-Man costume standing next to Zendaya with the both of them crossing their arms. It’s not clear what they are looking at or why they have such a stoic look on their face. Still, the post marks the end of production.

The suit isn’t like the one that we saw in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man Homecoming, or Avengers: Infinity War. This suit has dark navy blues rather than the light blues. It sort of harks back the traditional costume that Spidey fans saw in the first issue the webslinger appeared in. The Spidey emblem is also navy blue. And if you look for leaked photos, you may notice the emblem on the back is white instead of red.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will see Peter crossing the globe – get it, he’s far from home. One might say he still is. So we won’t know what kind of trouble he will run into. This time, Peter will have to fight Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). So it should be interesting to see how he factors into the film, and if he will be a part of something much bigger. Looking at all the villains that survived in Homecoming – Vulture (Michael Keaton), Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine), and Mac Gargan (Michael Mando) – it looks like there is potential for a Sinister Six. But that is just speculation on my part. We’ll just have to wait and see if that comes to fruition.

Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, and Jacob Batalon also star.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will hit theaters on July 5, 2019.
