While all good things must come to an end, you know that if a film franchise like Bad Boys has to do it, they will do it with style and flair.
Sony Pictures has released the latest trailer for Bad Boys for Life, which sees Will Smith and Martin Lawrence returning to reprise their roles as the loose-cannon cops who have a penchant for getting things done their own way and breaking all of the rules in the process. But things start to get real as Marcus (Lawrence) wants to go into retirement, while Mike (Smith) still wants to live life in the fast lane. Check out the newest trailer below.
In the sequel, Marcus sees himself relaxing on a La-Z Boy while Mike wants to continue doing what he loves, being a bad boy. But the reality of it all starts to hit Mike when he is assigned to lead a new task force that is made up of a bunch of young cops, played by Alexander Ludwig (Vikings), Vanessa Hudgens (Spring Breakers), and Charles Melton (Riverdale), who are all half his age.
However, Mike is forced to accept the situation when there is a price on his head. And even though Marcus sees his career as a police officer coming to an end, he joins Mike on one last ride.
The franchise has always prided itself on these two Miami cops getting themselves into these crazy situations, most of which include a lot of slow-motion gun fire. And it looks like we will be seeing that in Bad Boys for Life, with the additional CGI helicopter attack.
Here’s the official premise:
Old-school cops Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett team up to take down the vicious leader of a Miami drug cartel. Newly created elite team AMMO of the Miami police department along with Mike and Marcus go up against the ruthless Armando Armas.
Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Bad Boys for Life rolls into theaters on January 17, 2020. Click right here for the previous trailer if you missed it.
