So, take a look at the list of titles below and see if there’s something out there for someone you know. Or maybe just pick up something for yourself, because there’s nothing wrong with that. | Comic Review: Black Badge #1 By Matt Kindt |

Black Badge #1
Writer: Matt Kindt
Illustrator: Tyler Jenkins
Colorist: Hilary Jenkins
Letterer: Jim Campbell
BOOM! Studios
Cover Price: $3.99
Release date: August 8th, 2018 When I was growing up, being a Boy Scout was pretty fun. I enjoyed the camping, the fishing, the marshmallows, learning things that I didn’t learn in my regular classes. Sadly, I never advanced far enough in scouts to be recruited into the wing of the BSA that trained young men to become black ops field agents. That actually may not be such a bad thing. Black Badge #1 is a fairly standard first issue in that it sets up the basic premise of four Boy Scouts going into the woods in North Korea and then everything goes kooky. In all honesty, there’s not that much that happens in this issue beyond setting up the premise and setting up the cast and getting us to ask a few questions, which is fine. Writer Matt Kindt knows how to set up first issues for these types of series, and he works well at establishing all the elements you need to hook you into the series.

| TV Review: The Venture Bros. Season 6 ‘Hostile Makeover’ |

The brothers are back! It’s scary to think that it’s been more than 2 years since the end of season five of The Venture Bros., but yes it’s been that long. Sure we did get one hour-long special about this time last year, but that’s hardly enough for fans of the show. Fortunately, The Venture Bros. season six starts on Adult Swim on Sunday, January 31st at midnight, which means 8 weeks of the best damn show on TV. The season starts off where “All This and Gargantua-2” left off, with Doc Venture having inherited his brothers’ business and a sweet new pad in New York City. Now the whole family is getting used to life in a new city as well as dealing with being fabulously rich. Meanwhile, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch is trying to rebuild the Guild of Calamitous Intent. There’s been quite a change to the old status quo, which I’m not sure is good or bad for new viewers.

Each and every week, I, “Goddamned!” Henchman 21 and “Sandman!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of November 11, 2015. Yes, we only have a few books this time around, but they are both well worth your money, and sometimes it’s nice to have a smaller list.
