A little over two years ago, I wrote a little Kickstarter Spotlight for an up and coming graphic novel/comic series. Change out your calendar a couple of times and you get the present day incarnation: Mother Russia. I can definitely attest to the fact it is everything I expected and more. I had previously seen some of the pages, but I just read the final product and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Keep reading and I’ll explain why!

Director Quentin Tarantino‘s latest western, The Hateful Eight, is set to be released in theaters on Christmas Day, December 25th. We’ve already seen trailers and such for the movie (you can find them right here if you’ve not yet seen them), and now a different kind of preview has been released online.

A prequel comic has been released that sets up The Hateful Eight, which is actually written by Tarantino himself. The artwork for the comic is created by Zach Meyer. You can read a full synopsis and read the set-up comic below.

Each and every week, I, “Goddamned!” Henchman 21 and “Sandman!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? Kind of a small list this week, but what we do have is pure gold. Yes, we only have a few books this time around, but they are both well worth your money, and sometimes it’s nice to have a smaller list. Maybe it’s a good week to go back and find something you may have missed. There is one thing you shouldn’t miss though, and that’s The GoD List!
