Maybe the only thing better than San Diego Comic-Con is the annual tradition of Conan O’Brien doing his show from San Diego with big time guests and surprises. Yesterday marked the beginning of the 4-day geekfest, and Conan was on his way south with co-host Andy Richter driving. Then came the music dispute. Andy only had a tape with one song, “Sexy and I Know It” by LMFAO. Andy wanted his song repeatedly for the 2+ hour drive, Conan was ready to toss the tape. Andy tossed Conan. Check out where he ended up before SDCC 2017 below.

The new trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle dropped earlier today, which was just in time for their Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The cast includes Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, and Sophie Cookson, all of whom are returning to reprise their roles of the agents of a super secret British spy organization. They will be joined by Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, and Pedro Pascal, who serve as agents of the Statesman, the American version of the Kingsman. Julianne Moore is Poppy, the film’s villain. Matthew Vaughn also returns to direct the sequel. When it comes to Hall H, you can almost always expect some new footage from the film, and the cast to give it some extra hype. There was also a video that saw this world crossing over with the animated comedy Archer. Check it out below.

Few names are more synonymous with science fiction/horror than John Carpenter. With classic films like Halloween, The Thing, Escape From New York, and They Live the man literally explored almost everything that can scare you. In recent years, the director has left the silver screen and gone to the page. Carpenter and his wife and collaborator Sandy King started Storm King Productions, and have started writing and producing graphic novels and comics like Asylum and Tales For a Halloween Night. Their newest venture is Tales of Science Fiction, a monthly anthology series, with the first story “Vault” by James Ninness. Ninness worked with Storm King on Tales for a Halloween Night and has created comics Mythoi and inSanity, AZ. I got a chance to speak with Ninness about his upcoming Carpenter collaboration, which is debuting this week as well as his career, influences, and future. Check out the interview below.

If it’s July… it must be SHARKNADO time! This weekend, the greatest movie franchise in television history continues with Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, premiering tonight on Syfy. The Syfy network is filling up its time slots with all their “classic” original shark films, my favorite titles include “Zombie Shark,” “Planet of the Sharks,” and “Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf.” Before unleashing the fourth and most devastating Sharknado onto the viewers, the entire gang headed to San Diego Comic Con last weekend. Check out the full panel below.
