Last November, Shout! Factory, which owns the rights to the cult classic comedy series Mystery Science Theater 3000, teamed up with the show’s creator and first host Joel Hodgson to launch a Kickstarter campaign to fund a reboot of MST3K. Their target fundraising goal was set at $2 million, but the campaign ultimately became the highest-funded film and TV crowdfunding effort in history by raising a grand total of $5.7 million, allowing them to fund the production of 14 new episodes with an all-star squadron of geek icons and comedy geniuses working in front of and behind the camera.

On Saturday at a panel for the MST3K revival at San Diego Comic-Con, the announcement was made that the new show will be coming exclusively to Netflix as part of a $5 billion investment from the film and television streaming giant in original programming, which also includes their Marvel Studios series and the recent Stranger Things.

At San Diego Comic-Con yesterday, the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow panel revealed lots of exciting stuff coming up in season 2, plus a first look trailer. The panel included Caity Lotz (Sara Lance aka White Canary), Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter), newcomer Nick Zano, and Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory aka Heatwave).

The Last Man On Earth joined the rest of the human race at San Diego Comic-Con dishing about the tons of fun it is to work on the show. The panel included Will Forte, Kristen Schaal, Mary Steenburgen, Cleopatra Coleman, Mel Rodriguez, and January Jones.

Gotham took the stage on Saturday at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, promising an even darker season (incredible, really), and finding their characters in very different places than before. The panel included Ben McKenzie, David Mazouz, Sean Pertwee, Camren Bicondova, Morena Baccarin, Donal Logue, Robin Lord Taylor, and Cory Michael Smith.

BBC America brought their upcoming original television series Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, where they revealed the first footage.
