Deathstalker (2025)
Directed & Written by Steven Kostanski
Starring Daniel Bernhardt, Patton Oswalt, Christina Orjalo, Paul Lazenby, Nina Bergman, Nicholas Rice, Conor Sweeney
Studio: Hangar 18 Media
Distributed by: Shout! Studios, Raven Banner Entertainment
Rated R; Runtime: 99 minutes
Release date: October 10, 2025 I didn’t know reboots of cheesy ’80s sword & sorcery B-movies were what I needed this year, but after recently seeing the new Red Sonja and now Deathstalker, it’s clear that they absolutely are. The new Deathstalker enhances the fantastical elements of the 1983 original film, while lovingly and knowingly winking through its sillier aspects. You don’t need to have seen the Roger Corman–produced original Deathstalker to enjoy this reboot, though if you have, you’ll definitely appreciate the new effort even more.

| Marvel and Hulu Expand Marvel Television With Howard The Duck, M.O.D.O.K, Tigra & Dazzler, and More
Although it has taken some time for Marvel Television to find success, they have done so by getting out of the MCU’s way and existing in their own space. Sure there may be some slight nods to the unseen cinematic characters they co-exist with, but for the most part, these shows are successful because they build their own brand. While Netflix has been quick to cancel some of their Marvel shows in the past, Hulu is in the process of developing their own shows just as quickly. Various reports that are coming out of the winter TCAs are confirming that Marvel Television is developing animated shows based on Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K., Tigra & Dazzler Show, and Hit-Monkey. And they will be bringing in some very funny comedians to oversee these shows. From Kevin Smith and Chelsea Handler to Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum. More on the report below.

| Official Trailer For ‘Happy!’ Season 2 Released
SYFY has released an official trailer for Happy! season two, which once again stars Christopher Meloni as an ex-cop named Nick Sax and Patton Oswalt as an imaginary flying blue unicorn named Happy. This is easily the batshit craziest show on TV right now, and judging by this new trailer it looks like they’ve cranked that insanity up to 11 for the second season. Which is fitting considering the series comes from Crank and Crank: High Voltage writer and director Brian Taylor. He co-created the series, which is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson, with Morrison. You can find more info on Happy! and check out the official season two trailer below.
