‘The Secret Life Of Pets 2’ Trailer: Domesticated Pets Unleash Their Inner Wild Self

Universal Pictures has released the final trailer for The Secret Life Of Pets 2. The first film explored the daily lives of pets while their owners weren’t around. Basically a pet’s version of Toy Story. However, the sequel looks a little more promising now that these pets are going to the farm. No, not that kind of a farm, but the one where it is a huge contrast to the domesticated life they once knew. Here they will encounter new animals and new smells. Check out what sort of adventures await these city animals in the new trailer here below.

‘The Secret Life Of Pets 2’ Trailer: A Dog Learns What It Means To Be A Cat

Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment have been releasing a series of trailers for the upcoming The Secret Life Of Pets 2. While they are called trailers, they feel a lot more like vignettes, with each of them following a different pet from the previous film. It even introduced a new one. Of course, all of them put a slightly humorous slant on what otherwise would have been another boring day for these pets when their owners are gone.
That is no different with this latest video, which focuses on Gidget (Jenny Slate), a small Pomeranian dog who has a sudden identity crisis when she wears a pair of cat ears and puts a long sock on her tail. And when Chloe (Lake Bell) starts to teach the fluff ball that there is more to being a cat then she thinks, the once sparky canine starts believe that she herself is a cat. Check out the latest video here below.

‘The Secret Life Of Pets 2′ Trailer: How Domesticated Animals Get Their Owners’ Attention

The Secret Life Of Pets may follow the same premise as Toy Story, but it still makes way for a lucrative franchise. And now there’s a sequel. The new film isn’t due out in theaters for a while, but Universal and Illumination have been releasing character trailers to promote the sequel. Check out The Secret Life Of Pets 2 trailer for Chloe here below.
The trailer sees Chloe (Lake Bell) trying to get her owner’s attention by any means necessary. Whether it’s tapping her face, or shaking it. Nothing seems to work. That is until Chloe coughs up a hairball. And we get to see the side effects of catnip.

Rated PG | 110 minutes

Sometimes what looks good can end up being just slightly disappointing. In this case, Illumination’s Sing gives a very earnest effort through its well-intentioned story and an excellent collection of songs that spans generations and genres, but falls very short of being great through its lack of a narrative and inability to juggle the many subplots. Backed by a great ensemble of actors and singers, director Garth Jenning‘s animated film has all the makings of an Illumination Entertainment film, but fails to execute a great concept.

‘Sing’ Interview: Garth Jennings On Making Singing Animals Feel Human
|
 |

In Illumination’s latest film, Sing, Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) is holding a singing competition in his dying theater in a last ditch effort to scrounge up the money needed before the bank can repossess his beloved property. The optimistic koala settles on five contestants: a mouse (Seth MacFarlane), a timid elephant (Tori Kelly), a pig (Reese Witherspoon), a gorilla (Taron Egerton), and a punk-rock porcupine (Scarlett Johansson), in hopes that they can generate the funds necessary to keep the theater afloat but also bring back interest in genuine talent. Little does he know that the road to success isn’t easy, but with a little hard work and some faith, it can be done.
We had a phone interview with the film’s director Garth Jennings (A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Son of Rambow) to talk about what it was like to get clearance for the songs, working on his first animated film, his reaction to all the positive buzz, and much more. Check it out below.
