| Hasbro Greenlights ‘My Little Pony: Friendship Is Rare’ Live-Action Film
Piggybacking off the success of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic animated series, as well as the IDW comics book series, Hasbro has green-lit a live-action film titled My Little Pony: Friendship Is Rare. The Care Bears will make a guest appearance! Titled My Little Pony: Friendship Is Rare, expectations are high for this one, as Geeks Of Doom has learned exclusively that the beloved Ponies and loveable Bears will be played by Fran Drescher, Gilbert Gottfried, Wanda Sykes, Rosie Perez, and Jack Black in LARPer costumes. Black will play what he says is his dream role as a minotaur in the film, while his musical outfit Tenacious D will provide the soundtrack, including their #1 hit “Friendship”.

| Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley To Retire From KISS; Band To Continue As KISS II |

Hard rock and heavy metal veterans KISS announced today, April 1, 2013, that founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are leaving the band and going into retirement at the end of this year, while the band will go on as KISS II, a lineup featuring NO original members, beginning in 2014. Before Simmons and Stanley, who formed the group in New York City 40 years ago, can officially begin their quiet rock and roll-free nights and party-less days, they must fulfill their current record company contract for one more album. Therefore, the long-time musical partners have agreed to finally do the sequel to The Elder with Bob Ezrin, stating that the original 1981 album now has a cult following, and they are thinking “long-term” for the fans. The sequel will be called The Elder Reloaded.

| Watch Roger Rabbit Do The Easter Bunny Hop At Disneyland
Roger Rabbit of 1988’s Who Framed Roger Rabbit hasn’t been seen up close at Disneyland for over a decade, but for Easter, the character made a rare appearance at the California theme park this week to lead guests in the annual Bunny Hop dance. Check out the video here below, captured by the folks over at Behind The Magic, of Roger Rabbit mingling with the park guests on Main Street USA, doing the holiday dance with them.
