| Disney To Add Live-Action ‘Lilo and Stitch’ To Their Remake Library |

It’s no secret that Disney is mining their old animated classics and turning them into live-action retellings. Most, if not all, have become box office hits for the studio. This only furthers their efforts to keep making these films. And now, it comes as no surprise, they will be continuing to do this. This time with Lilo and Stitch. New reports say that the studio will be working with their live-action Aladdin producers Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich to develop a live-action animation hybrid of the Hawaii-set animated film. Remakes of foreign films are inevitable. It just depends on the creative team behind it to assure fans of the original that all is well, and maybe draw in a new fan base as well. But when you put The Conjuring‘s James Wan and The Nun‘s Gary Dauberman on a remake for the claustrophobic zombie train thriller Train to Busan, then you might get a lot of people’s attention. | ‘Candyman’ Remake Could Be In The Works From Jordan Peele |

Seeing Bernard Rose’s 1992 film Candyman is an essential movie-viewing experience. And like many of the classic horror films that came out during that time, it has gotten some sort of remake treatment. But the interesting thing about Candyman was that it was a film ahead of its time. Not only was it a horror, it also addressed socioeconomic issues. A true rarity. So it should be no surprise that a remake could be in the works. Not only that, but it appears that Jordan Peele will produce and could be tapped to direct. More on the story below.
