RELEASE DATE: October 17, 2017 One of my favorite games of 2014 was South Park: The Stick of Truth. A game that transported fans into the world we’ve been watching on TV for a couple of decades now. Now the highly anticipated sequel, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, has arrived. In the game you once again play as the new kid in town, a frustratingly quiet kid who also happens to possess some impressive special abilities, especially in the art of flatulence. And as you quickly find out, the neighborhood children are no longer playing in the fantastical world they were in the first game. Now, they’ve moved on to superhero franchises.

| EA Closing ‘Dead Space,’ Unreleased ‘Star Wars’ Game Developer Visceral
It’s been four years now since Disney decided to close down longtime Star Wars gamemaker LucasArts and instead sign an exclusive licensing deal with video game factory Electronic Arts. At first things showed some promise, with multiple titles expected including first-person shooter Battlefront, a third-person game from Dead Space developer Visceral Games, and more. But in the four years since it’s all been a bit of a nightmare scenario for fans. And it keeps getting worse, as EA has announced that they’ve decided to shut down Visceral Games. Though there is some good news: the Star Wars game they’ve been working on is not being killed off with the developer. Not yet, at least. Read the full announcement below.

| ‘Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus’ Launch Trailer Released
Publisher Bethesda Softworks has released a launch trailer for the sequel to developer MachineGames’ Wolfenstein: The New Order, titled Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. The sequel once again follows BJ Blazkowicz as he fights to help take back a Nazi-controlled alternate history America in 1961. | Han Solo Standalone Film Now Called ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ |

These Star Wars spinoffs are a part of the larger universe and are meant to tell stories that aren’t about the core saga. We saw a little bit of that in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and we will see that once more in the Han Solo standalone film, which has been going by that non-title since the beginning of production and well after Ron Howard came in to direct the film. But now the film has got an official title. So prepare yourselves, because come May 2018, we will see Solo: A Star Wars Story. More on the this below.
