The stars of horror aligned and today is Friday the 13th… in October. While Michael Myers owns the month, this is Jason Voorhees’ day. The Friday the 13th franchise goes back to 1980, when Sean S. Cunningham directed the original as a slasher ripoff of John Carpenter’s Halloween. Jason made his debut at the very end in one of horror’s legit greatest jump scares. His legend grew instantly, and by decade’s end, he was 8 (!) films deep. Now nearly 40 years later, the franchise has produced 10 films, 1 crossover, 1 remake, and a short-lived TV series”¦ and damned if that doesn’t add up to 13! So in honor of Friday the 13th, we’re going to rank them from worst to first. Harry Manfredini “¦ HIT THE MUSIC!

Stars Bruce Campbell, Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago, Arielle Carver-O’Neill, and Lindsay Farris treated fans to a special sneak peek of the season 3 premiere and more, before signing autographs and taking photos with fans back at the main convention center. I was able to join a press roundtable with the cast members, where they talked the series and their experiences on the upcoming season. Ray Santiago returned home to the big city for NYCC. A Bronx native, Santiago graduated from Fiorello LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts aka “The FAME School” in 2002 and has been acting ever since. As Pablo Simon Bolivar on AvED, he follows his “jefe” Ash through thick and thin. Last season was a long and brutal one for Pablo. First he was possessed by the Necronomicon, then he was slashed in half by the demon Baal. Thankfully resurrected for season 3, Ray Santiago sat down to talk about the upcoming season and the torture his character has gone through.
