| D23 Expo 2019: ‘Black Widow’ Footage Reveals David Harbour As Red Guardian
After making her debut in 2010’s Iron Man 2, Scarlett Johansson‘s Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow finally makes her standalone film debut in Black Widow. Taking place after the events of Captain America: Civil War, the long-awaited film sees Natasha returning home and being met with a very unfriendly welcome. However, there is much more to it than that, as her return home also marks a family reunion of sorts. While the cast was not on hand at the D23 Expo this weekend, Marvel Studios did share some interesting footage from the film. More on all of that here below.

| SDCC 2019: ‘Black Widow’ Brings More Spy Action To The Marvel Fold
Marvel Studios’ Black Widow may have been in production for only 30 days, but that stop them from showing off some footage to San Diego Comic-Con attendees today. Scarlett Johansson and director Cate Shortland (Berlin Syndrome, Lore) stopped by the Con to tell everyone there how the production was going, and announced that it would be the first new Marvel film of 2020.

| New ‘Hellboy’ Video Shows Off The Practical Effects
One of the fastest way a movie can win my attention is to opt for old school practical effects over the more convenient digital effects whenever possible. The more used, the better. The upcoming Hellboy reboot, which stars David Harbour, Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Penelope Mitchell, and Daniel Dae Kim, is one of those movies. With director Neil Marshall behind the camera, practical effects were an important ingredient in crafting this new adaptation of the Mike Mignola comic book of the same name. | ‘Hellboy’ Trailer: David Harbour Raises A New Kind Of Hell
Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy films were an under-appreciated adaptation of the comic books of the same name. While they’ve become cult classics, the film franchise has since shifted to a new studio. Rather than building upon the existing movies having Ron Perlman return as the title character, Lionsgate went with a reboot. This time, David Harbour (Stranger Things) will be playing the title character in a film that adapts the source material with an even darker and more grittier tone. Filled with all kinds of violence and profanity, this new telling of Hellboy isn’t the one that GDT told. Which may be fine. But we will just have to wait and see.
