But, be that as it may, this is one amazing one-shot comic. In true Dark Horse fashion, everything is a bit darker and twisted than what most other comic companies produce. And that, my friends, is why I love almost everything they produce!

New ‘Hellboy’ Video Shows Off The Practical Effects

One of the fastest way a movie can win my attention is to opt for old school practical effects over the more convenient digital effects whenever possible. The more used, the better. The upcoming Hellboy reboot, which stars David Harbour, Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Penelope Mitchell, and Daniel Dae Kim, is one of those movies.
With director Neil Marshall behind the camera, practical effects were an important ingredient in crafting this new adaptation of the Mike Mignola comic book of the same name. And to show off some of these practical effects, Lionsgate has released a new featurette video which focuses on the special effects. You can find it below.

Comic Review: Jenny Finn #1

Cover by Mike Mignola
Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: November 15, 2017

Lots of tentacles and creepy storylines are a big win in my book. Jenny Finn #1 delivers both with a healthy heap of mystery added for the hell of it. If anything, this particular Dark Horse comic book has an even heavier Lovecraftian feel to it than most of Mike Mignola‘s works.

Nothing brings to mind evil like the idea of Nazis. The righteous anger that flows at the mere mention of the name is true, especially in the world of Hellboy. ‘Hellboy’ Reboot: Lionsgate In Talks For ‘Rise Of The Blood Queen’

UPDATE: We’ve learned that the title for the reboot will simply be Hellboy, the same as the original 2004 film.
It’s being reported that Lionsgate is in the final stages of negotiations to distribute the Hellboy reboot, titled Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen.
The movie already has a star and director set. David Harbour, who is one of the stars of Netflix’s Stranger Things, is set to take over the role of Hellboy; while Neil Marshall (The Descent, Game of Thrones) will direct.
