One of the fastest way a movie can win my attention is to opt for old school practical effects over the more convenient digital effects whenever possible. The more used, the better. The upcoming Hellboy reboot, which stars David Harbour, Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Penelope Mitchell, and Daniel Dae Kim, is one of those movies.

With director Neil Marshall behind the camera, practical effects were an important ingredient in crafting this new adaptation of the Mike Mignola comic book of the same name.
