| Sony and Marvel Developing Venom and Sinister Six Solo Features
Sony Pictures’ long-term plans for its blockbuster Spider-Man franchise have been getting bigger with each week that brings us a new image, trailer, or poster for their upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Last week alone we were treated to a new banner poster and first trailer that revealed Marvel Comics’ classic arachnid-powered superhero (Andrew Garfield) would be taking on at least three new villains in Electro (Jamie Foxx), the Rhino (Paul Giamatti), and most unexpectedly Spidey’s old friend Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) suiting up as either the Green Goblin or a Goblin-like baddie of some variation. Early reports indicated that the events of Amazing Spider-Man 2 would be setting up the first appearance of the super-villain collective the Sinister Six in a future sequel.

| Andrew Garfield Says He’s Not Signed On For ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 4’
It came as a huge surprise to every Spider-Man fan when it was announced that there would be two more Amazing Spider-Man films to come out after the upcoming sequel. It became apparent that Sony was trying to establish a world that Marc Webb had created, and thus began the Sinister Six speculation. It made a lot of sense considering that two more films would be more than enough to set up that world and build up to one of the greatest threats that the webslinger has faced in his hero tenure. But being signed on for The Amazing Spider-Man 4 film is all news to Andrew Garfield, who claims “I’m under contract for another one after this. As far as a fourth one”¦ that’s not anything to do with me.” Which is strange, because news of there being two more Spider-Man films being released in the future – the third is due out in 2016, with the fourth due out two years after – has been out for a while.

| ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Banner Poster Shows Electro, Rhino, Green Goblin
Last week you may have seen a fuzzy image floating around of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 banner poster that will soon be hitting theaters. This poster featured the previously announced villain Electro, a better look at how Rhino would be portrayed in the film, and what appeared to be someone floating on a glider alluding to the Green Goblin (or possibly Hobgoblin). Now, Sony Pictures has released an official and much higher resolution image of those posters via Twitter to scour over and scrutinize every detail including a better look at what does appear to be the new film version of Green Goblin, who up until now had only been rumored to make a possible cameo. In addition to the poster, an official synopsis has been released for the film. Check out the synopsis and take a look at the banner poster for yourself below.

| Jamie Foxx Confirms Sinister Six Talks For ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Sequels |
 |

Though the first Amazing Spider-Man did not really hint at it, the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 tells us that the series will culminate where the villains from the respective films band together to fight Spider-Man. Recently, Chris Cooper revealed that he only had a small role in the second film, which would be expanded upon in the third. Paul Giamatti also has a small role in the sequel, but it is suspected that he has signed on for at least one more installment. Speculation of a Sinister Six team started when Sony announced that they would be releasing two more Amazing Spider-Man films. Course we won’t know if all if this is true until we see the movie itself, but should a villain die, it’s safe to say that he won’t be joining the six. But it seems that film star Jamie Foxx let slip the fact that Electro won’t die in the sequel. He also confirmed that there are talks of a Sinister Six hapening. Hit the jump to see what he had to say.
