| ‘Catch The Throne’: Anthrax Teases ‘Game Of Thrones’ Mixtape Song (Video) |
|
At the end of last year, we learned that metal titans Anthrax would be contributing a song to Catch the Throne: The Mixtape Vol. II, the official Game Of Thrones album featuring music inspired by the events of Season 4 of the popular HBO series. The New York thrash band had been in the studio working on their follow-up to 2011’s Worship Music, their first album with lead singer Joey Belladonna since 1990’s Persistence Of Time, when they posted studio photos to their social media accounts that were captioned #”ŽCatchTheThrone”¬. The hashtag was an obvious Game Of Thrones reference, as that was the title of the first mixtape compilation featuring songs inspired by Seasons 1-3. Now, Anthrax and HBO have released a quick teaser video that contains interviews with several members of the band talking about the television series, intercut with footage of them in the studio, so we get to hear a snippet of the song, which is about the Lannister family. Check out the teaser video here below, which features guitarist Scott Ian — who just appeared as the Steel Pole Walker on last Sunday’s episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead — bassist Frank Bello, and drummer Charlie Benante.

| ‘The Walking Dead’: Inside Episode 512 “Remember” (Video) |
|
SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Episode 512 “Remember.” AMC’s The Walking Dead Episode 512 “Remember” aired last night and it showed Rick and his group arriving with Aaron to his camp near Washington, D.C. in the “Alexandria Safe Zone.” Rick was skeptical about going there at first, after his harrowing experiences with The Governor and then at Terminus, but the fact is, his group needs a home and his baby Judith needs stability, too. They were all at the end of their rope; even without the Walkers at every turn, supplies are dwindling. But once he arrives at the safe zone, he still has to decide, will they stay? And what do the people in the safe zone need from him? What’s the catch? In this post-apocalyptic zombie-plagued world, if something is too good to be true, it typically is. The network has released the “most talked about scene” from the episode, which is when Glenn comes back from the first supply run where he butts heads with Alexandria run leader Aiden. We know that Glenn can take care of himself, but we see now how far he’s come from his original job as runner way back in Season 1. AMC has also released two behind-the-scenes featurettes — one is a 3 1/2-minute “Making of” featurette that centers on the slippery skinned Walker that got out of Aiden’s chains, while the other is a 4 1/2-minute “Inside Look” at the episode that takes a look at how Rick and his group fit into Alexandria and how they perceive the existing residents. You can watch all the videos here below.

| ‘The Big 4’ Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth & Anthrax As An 8-Bit Video Game
The gang at Loudwire teamed up with the folks over at Filthy Frackers to create a video of a “what if” NES-style 8-bit video game featuring the thrash metal giants of The Big 4 – Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax. The 83-second 8-bit animated video with chiptune audio features Metallica’s “One,” including scenes from the video of the band members as well as the footage from the Johnny Got His Gun movie; Slayer’s “Raining Blood” (with the band in a live performance sequence); Megadeth’s “Sweating Bullets,” which showcases frontman Dave Mustaine’s multiple personalities from the video; and Anthrax’s “Madhouse,” with zany footage from that music video, as well as guest appearances from retro gaming characters. Watch the video here below.
