| ‘Dolittle’ Trailer: Robert Downey Jr. Goes Out To See A Wonderful World
Doctor Dolittle is best known for being the only person who can understand animals. Literally. That’s because he can converse with them in a way that no other person on the planet can. While it may not be exactly the kind of film you would expect to see in a climate that is filled with superheroes, it is a family friendly bit that can work with the right people. And Universal’s Dolittle starring Robert Downey Jr. could be just that kind of film, especially when it’s going to open the new year. The studio has released a new trailer which sees Downey Jr. as the titular character, who sounds an awful like Sherlock Holmes – and acts a little bit like him too – and who goes on an incredible journey where he will encounter animals that only he can talk to. Check out the trailer below.

| Netflix Releases Official Trailer For ‘The Laundromat’ Starring Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman, and Antonio Banderas
If films like The Irishman, The King, and Marriage Story didn’t make it crystal clear how serious Netflix is about bringing home that Academy Award for Best Picture they were unable to win with Roma last year, they also have someone Oscar is quite fond of, none other than Meryl Streep, a 21-time nominee and three-time winner. Streep stars in The Laundromat, which Netflix released an official trailer for today. But she’s not alone. Not by a long-shot. The movie is directed by Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh, and she’s joined on the cast by fellow Oscar winner Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas. And they’re just the tip of the iceberg; the cast is massive, with numerous familiar faces. You can watch the trailer and see the full cast in the synopsis below.

| ‘The New Mutants’ Reshoots Haven’t Happened Yet; Could Still Aim For An R-Rating
The one X-Men film that seems to have fallen by the wayside is The New Mutants, a spinoff that centers on a different group of mutants who are forced to come to grips with their mutant powers while being held in a secret government facility. The film was supposed to hit theaters earlier this year before being pushed back to February 2019 and then to August 2019. The reasons for those new dates was to give director Josh Boone some extra time for reshoots. However, to push back the film almost two years after the film was originally scheduled to be released seems strange. And to say that the reason for that push was to get some reshoots in seems even odder. But that appears to be the case. The reshoots are pushing the film’s release date to August of next year. But not because the reshoots are happening now. It’s because the reshoots haven’t happened yet. More on the report below.

| ‘New Mutants’: Lack Of Scares Led To Reshoots; Jon Hamm Nearly Played Mr. Sinister
It’s not enough that The New Mutants got pushed back to a later date, again. But there are reports that that 50 percent of the film will have to be reshot. While reshoots are just a part of the filmmaking process, it doesn’t bode well when half of the film has to be done over again. However, there is a good reason why Fox wants these reshoots. It appears that The New Mutants is not scary enough for them. There are also reports that the film already had Jon Hamm cast as Mr. Sinister. The keyword being “had,” as plans for that have apparently been scrapped. But it looks like they have already settled on a replacement. More on the reshoots and the new villain here below.
