The Suicide Squad

We already knew that James Gunn‘s The Suicide Squad was going to feature a pretty stellar cast, including Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman all returning to reprise their respective roles as Harley Quinn, Amanda Waller, Captain Boomerang, and Rick Flag from David Ayer’s 2016 film Suicide Squad. There’s also been previous announcements of new additions to the cast.

Now Gunn has revealed the full cast for the upcoming movie. See below to the full list and which familiar faces are also making a return.

‘The New Mutants’ Reshoots Haven’t Happened Yet; Could Still Aim For An R-Rating

New Mutants

The one X-Men film that seems to have fallen by the wayside is The New Mutants, a spinoff that centers on a different group of mutants who are forced to come to grips with their mutant powers while being held in a secret government facility. The film was supposed to hit theaters earlier this year before being pushed back to February 2019 and then to August 2019. The reasons for those new dates was to give director Josh Boone some extra time for reshoots. However, to push back the film almost two years after the film was originally scheduled to be released seems strange. And to say that the reason for that push was to get some reshoots in seems even odder.

But that appears to be the case. The reshoots are pushing the film’s release date to August of next year. But not because the reshoots are happening now. It’s because the reshoots haven’t happened yet. More on the report below.

Simon Pegg in Kill Me Three Times

A red band trailer has been released for Kill Me Three Times, a dark new action comedy starring Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Star Trek).

In the movie Pegg plays an assassin who is hired to kill a man’s wife, but quickly discovers that he isn’t the only one trying to eliminate his target. It also stars Alice Braga (City of God, Elysium), Sullivan Stapleton (300: Rise of an Empire, Strike Back), Teresa Palmer (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Warm Bodies), Callan Mulvey (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, 300: Rise of an Empire), Luke Hemsworth (The Anomaly, The Reckoning), and Bryan Brown (The Thorn Birds, Gorillas in the Mist).

You can read a synopsis and check out the red band trailer for Kill Me Three Times below. The trailer is NSFW obviously, due to some naughty words and violence. The only specks of nudity—seen on postcards in the international trailer also included below—are blurred out in this, the red band trailer. Because our precious, fragile little eyes cannot handle such things here in the States.

‘Elysium’ Trailer: They Will Hunt You To The Edge Of The Earth

Elysium Header Image

The first trailer for Neil Blomkamp‘s Elysium has just hit the web, and it’s everything you imagined it would be. The film is a follow up to his last sci-fi indie hit District 9. Just like his last film, Elysium puts a sci-fi spin on the social issues that faces us today. Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, and more star in this gritty and fantastic looking sci-fi film.

The Geeks of Doom team saw a couple of selected scenes during last year’s San Diego Comic-Con and yesterday, Sony offered a couple of journalists a glimpse of a more polished product plus an advanced look at this trailer. Based on the looks of it, we can see there will be a clash between two very distant social classes: the rich who live in a luxurious lifestyle orbiting on the heavens, and the poor who live in the slums that cover the entire Earth.

Hit the jump to see the brand new trailer.

The movie is set in the year 2159 where the rich and healthy reside on a floating city space station called Elysium, while the poor and sick live in poverty on the overpopulated remnants of what was once planet Earth. It stars Matt Damon as a man fighting for his life who decides to do whatever it takes to reach Elysium and find a cure for not only himself, but for the millions of mistreated people like him who desperately need medicine.
