This is all three seasons on 8 discs of the Fox television comedy shot mockumentary-style and narrated by Ron Howard. The show stars Jason Bateman as the only normal seed in his dysfunctional family of Jeffrey Tambor, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, David Cross, Jessica Walter, and Michael Cera.

Each season comes separately in its own case and all seasons include commentaries, deleted and extended scenes, and blooper reels. Some TV shows jump out at you from nowhere and immediately eclipse every other program you have a current interest in. The writing is sharper, the jokes are funnier, the direction is better, the actors are superior — this, you decide, is how television should be. If you’re not watching your new favourite thing you’re not watching anything. With numerous other programs already clogging up your TV signal, finding a show this special is very rare. Arrested Development is one of those shows.

Arrested Development is about the Bluth family, a rich, spoiled bunch who own a large property company which supports their frivolous lives. Thanks to years of dodgy dealings and acts of “˜light treason’ by head of the family and business, George (Jeffrey Tambor), the Bluth family now has no money and its assets are drying up fast.

The main focus is on middle son Michael (Jason Bateman), who wants to keep his family together for the sake of his son, George-Michael (Michael Cera). This becomes a herculean and very often thankless task. As the old saying goes: blood is thicker than water — and many of the Bluth family are thicker than blood.

In yet another announcement regarding a classic cartoon character, it appears as though there is a Yogi Bear movie in the works, and it’s actually set to begin filming next month. Naturally, this will be another hybrid movie that will mix live-action humans with the former cartoons getting their CGI makeover.

This comes from an Entertainment Weekly report stating that there are three big names currently in negotiations to take the lead roles in the movie: Dan Aykroyd, Justin Timberlake, and Anna Faris. If these talks all work out in the end, Aykroyd would voice the picnic-addicted bear Yogi; Timberlake would take on his tiny little buddy Boo-Boo, and Faris would be playing a nature documentary film maker named Rachel that chooses the bears as her latest project.
