Release Date: June 8, 2016
Cover Price: $0.99 (digital) Looks like my birthday came a little early! Nothing makes me happier than seeing a little throwback to my youth, especially when it’s a crossover of two of my favorite shows. Batman ’66 Meets Steed and Mrs. Peel #1 brings my favorite DC hero face to face with my favorite British television characters (my apologies to The Doctor, but it’s true). I still stop and watch any Avengers episodes whenever I find them on television. And of course, Batman is probably more popular in my house than I am. But enough about me, on to the review!

| The Russo Brothers Confirm ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Films Will Be Retitled
In 2014, Marvel made a huge announcement about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe saying that Phase 3 would end with a two-part Avengers film appropriately titled Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Part II. Most believed that the project was following the tradition of closing trilogies being split into two films. With the amount of characters involved throughout the entire three phases, it would probably be best to split it into two films so that the characters got their justified screen times. Now with the Captain America: Civil War press tour pretty much completed, The Russo Brothers are talking about Avengers: Infinity War, and have dropped one very revealing detail. According to them, the Part I and Part II titles are “misleading.” More on the story here below.

| ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Won’t Be A Traditional Two-Part Film
There has been a common theme for studios to turn the end of a film franchise into a two-part finale. Traditionally these two parters have the first half act as some sort of prologue with the final half being an explosive action-packed film. However, Anthony and Joe Russo will be taking a different approach to Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Part II. Instead of the substandard film split into two parts, it seems as though they the two films won’t have much of anything to do with each other. Check out what they had to say below.

| Joss Whedon On Why He Is No Longer Working On Marvel Films
During the press junket for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Age Of Ultron, director Joss Whedon had spoken about some of the difficulties he encountered during the production of the sequel. Despite some of these creative differences, Whedon still made it out with a semi-entertaining film, though many would agree that the Avengers sequel didn’t meet expectations, and falls short of being just as great as its predecessor. While Whedon was still able to offer us two exciting ensemble films, he is no longer obligated to work on anything Marvel-related – he had signed a contract to be a creative contributor for Phase 2. Now that Whedon is done with superheroes, he talking about his experience working with Marvel Studios, and speaking out on why he is no longer working for them. Check out his comments below.

Black Widow: Forever Red
Hardcover | Kindle | Audiobook
Written by Margaret Stohl
Marvel Press
Release Date: October 13, 2015 Well, it’s about time, Marvel. Note to the reader: that was my reaction when I first heard of this young adult novel, Black Widow: Forever Red. Tell me there aren’t millions of people, youngsters and adult-ish types, who aren’t jonesing for this Avenger who fights alongside some legendary heroes, without having one iota of superpower or magic or billions of dollars of tech. Black Widow rolls in with guns and an overwhelming amount of badassery. So, yeah. When I saw this book was coming out, I definitely felt it was overdue. Bestselling author Margaret Stohl penned this book and captured a version of Natasha Romanov to which most comics only eluded. Deeply focused and not a little broken, the reader gets inside the mind of this unstoppable assassin only to find she’s not exactly what you might expect. Whatever her past holds, she is a dedicated and diverse woman who seeks justice and, at times, revenge. This isn’t the movie version of the character; she’s not all sarcastic quips and nonchalant attitude, though there is a fair amount of both. The Black Widow is, above all else, driven. And Stohl goes above and beyond to explore as many nooks and crannies as she can in Natasha’s psyche.
