| ‘IT: Chapter 2’ Writer Gary Dauberman Talks Visualizing The Ritual Of Chud
The malevolent sewer-scuttling clown known as Pennywise will be back next year to haunt a much older Losers Club in Derry, Maine. Andy Muschietti returns to direct the highly anticipated horror sequel, IT: Chapter 2, which will reinforce the idea that clowns are f****** scary. In it we see all the members of the Losers, who are now all grown up, return to their hometown to face off against Pennywise one last time. But it’s not so much the battle that we should be concerned with as it is the ritual that will be in the film. Now we are getting a little hint of what to expect and how the collaboration between Muschietti and writer Gary Dauberman is helping shape the script. More on the story below. | Series Based On Joe Hill, Gabriel RodrÃguez’s ‘Locke & Key’ Finds New Home At Netflix
Last year it looked like a TV series adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel RodrÃguez‘s comic book series Locke & Key was finally going to happen, with Hulu ordering a pilot episode and Doctor Strange and Sinister director Scott Derrickson set to helm that episode. Derrickson eventually dropped out due to scheduling issues and IT and Mama director Andy Muschietti stepped in. For whatever reasons, Hulu made the surprising decision to pass on the series. The second time that a series based on the comic looked like it was happening and then didn’t. The other being on Fox years ago. But thankfully fans didn’t have to wait nearly as long this time for the show to find a new home. It’s been announced that Netflix has picked up the show. And they’re skipping that pesky pilot episode step and jumping straight to a full-series order.
