As for the title, it will officially be called Batman: Arkham City. The game will take place in a ruthless maximum security district of Gotham City where all of the most evil villains reside.

‘Batman: Arkham Asylum 2’ To Be The Last Of Mark Hamill’s Joker

Batman: Arkham Asylum

When it comes to the voice of infamous Batman villain The Joker in animated series, video games, and even things like toys and other merchandise, there is simply no one better than Mark Hamill.

The man best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the original (and only, to some) Star Wars trilogy has also handled the voice of the colorful Joker on the Batman and Superman animated series, The New Batman Adventures, more comical shows like Robot Chicken, and of course, in the highly-popular 2008 video game, Batman: Arkham Asylum.

With that game going on to make an insane $562 million, a sequel was guaranteed and pretty much went directly into production on Batman: Arkham Asylum 2, already delivering a teaser trailer this past December (Read: Video Game Awards “˜09: “˜Batman: Arkham Asylum 2″² Trailer). But according to reports, Mr. Hamill himself was not so guaranteed.

Rumors For Your Thought: Will We See The Riddler & Arkham Asylum In ‘The Dark Knight’ Sequel?

The Riddler

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, now that it has been confirmed that The Dark Knight scribes Jonathan Nolan and David Goyer are working on a script that will eventually turn into Batman 3, the rumors will begin flowing like the booze of a father mercilessly dragged to a Jonas Brothers concert by his daughters.

While rumors are usually B.S. created simply in hopes of stealing attention and hits to ones website location, sometime they come from an actual source, and these are the rumors that come with just a little chance of actually being true as night time blackness. In the case of this particular rumor, everything sounds like it would make sense and nothing is absurd and over-the-top. This information is actually a couple of weeks old, as well, but since its first running, some positive updates have come around and supported the claims, leading myself to think there could actually be some truth going on here.

Click on over to find out what might be going on when Batman 3 reaches our eyes.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Spike TV held their annual Video Game Awards last night, and while the awards portion of the show was pretty forgettable, there were bright spots. These bright spots came in the form of a collection of new and sometimes unexpected video game teaser trailers being debuted during the program.

One of the bigger surprises of the night came in the very beginning of the show when a mysterious giant box appeared on the stage and a creepy, high-pitched voiced screeched out through the venue as dangerous green gasses were leaked out the box. It wasn’t long before it clicked that the voice belonged to none other than The Joker as voiced by fan-favorite Mark Hamill. This was the introduction of a new cinematic trailer that featured both Harley Quinn and Joker. It was obvious that it was for Batman: Arkham Asylum, but it was not clear whether it was for new DLC content or an actual sequel. A sequel, so soon? Can’t be!

Well, as it turns out — it is indeed for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2, and you can now watch the trailer on the other side. As with most of these, it is just a brief teaser trailer, but considering the surprise, it’s still fun stuff. The end also points you in the direction of the game’s new website Arkham Has Moved, which also has the trailer and a place to register for updates.
