| ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ Featurette Feeds Title Character’s Brooding Ego
When we first saw The Batman (Will Arnett) in The LEGO Movie, he was a dark and brooding superhero who did not play well with others. Worst of all, he was playing second fiddle to a nobody. However, the Dark Knight Minifigure believes that he was the reason why The LEGO Movie was such a huge success. And because of that, he is convinced that the world is ready for The LEGO Batman Movie. A new featurette titled “Behind The Bricks” brings us closer to the characters in the upcoming film. Unlike traditional featurettes, this one interviews the actual characters as Minifigures. | Ben Affleck Swears He Will Direct ‘The Batman’ But He Just Needs More Time
Sooner or later we will be getting a Batman movie directed by Ben Affleck. But recent news of the actor not being able to commit to it because of the timing or inability to get the script “right” seems to push the timetable further back. The film doesn’t even have an official release date yet, even with Warner Bros. pushing a few other films back. But their efforts don’t seem to be working. Rumors of the tentatively titled The Batman having “serious script issues” were a cause for concern as it put a direct light on what many were fearing. That WB execs didn’t care about the quality of the script and were just happy that the film can make bank overseas.
