‘The Lion King’ TV Spot: Hear Beyoncé As Nala

The marketing campaign for Disney’s upcoming The Lion King has relied a lot more on the visual than the auditory. We haven’t heard much from the cast, at least not directly. Any dialogue heard came from characters that are out of sight.
But that all changes with this new TV spot which reveals Beyoncé Knowles as the voice of Nala. Check out the TV Spot below.

‘The Lion King’ Trailer: Disney’s Latest Is Roaring With Nostalgia

The marketing campaign for The Lion King has been leaning towards nostalgia by giving us the updated looks of the animated original. Jon Favreau directs this newly updated kinda sorta live-action take on the Walt Disney Animation Studio classic, which sees Simba learning what it takes to be a true king.
Now there is a new trailer out that shows us just how beautiful this film will look and how far the technology has come since Favreau used something similar in The Jungle Book. Check it out below.

Bradley Cooper In Talks To Direct ‘A Star Is Born’

Back in 2011 Clint Eastwood was tapped to direct a remake of A Star is Born, with Beyoncé Knowles starring as the lead character who is being given career advice by a washed-up self-destructive icon. But that was before the singer and actress got pregnant, and as a result of that, the film quickly dissolved. Eastwood would eventually move onto Jersey Boys, which got quickly panned by critics. But the film that the director was hoping to get made, has now fallen into the hands of an actor that appeared in one of his films.
American Sniper star Bradley Cooper is in talks to make his directorial debut helming the film. He is also reportedly trying to bring Beyoncé back to the project as well. Hit the jump for more.

‘Epic’ Trailer: It’s ‘Ferngully’ For The New Generation

A new trailer for Epic, an animated film that follows the secret lives of forest beings protecting their sacred land from a force that seeks to destroy it, has been released.
A teenage girl spending time at a relative’s house gets shrunken down to their size and joins the forces of the forest dwellers to help them save the forest world and her world as well. Sure it may sound like a revamped version of Ferngully, but Epic doesn’t look like anything the Blue Sky has done before. The studio also worked on the Ice Age franchise and RIO.
Check out the latest trailer below.

Wait, What?! Clint Eastwood To Direct Musical Remake Of ‘A Star Is Born’ With Beyonce Knowles
|

Here we are again — staring at one of those unbelievable headlines that simply has to be an April Fool’s joke…only it’s January, and this is apparently very real.
Deadline is reporting that the legendary actor, director, and producer, Clint Eastwood, will be directing his own take on the musical A Star is Born, with Beyonce Knowles set to star in the lead female role. The script for the movie is written by Will Fetters (Remember Me).
This will be the fourth version of the story, which tells the story of an aspiring actress being helped into the industry by an old veteran actor. The first came in 1937 and starred Janet Gaynor and Fredric March, while the second came in 1954 and starred Judy Garland and James Mason, and the third in 1976, starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
All three previous versions of the film were nominated for Academy Awards, with two of the three winning an Oscar.

Beyonce Wants To Be ‘Wonder Woman’
I’m not even sure this is newsworthy or not, but apparently Beyonce Knowles would like to play Wonder Woman and has even met with DC Comics and Warner Bros. about it.
The movie adaptation of Wonder Woman has been attempted and failed so many times that it’s pretty much made its vacation home in development hell. It’s right on a fiery lake of lava. Really, really nice spot.
Beyonce, while speaking to the LA Times, had this to say…
I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’s time for that, right?
