| ‘The Guild’ Creator Felicia Day To Star In Live-Action ‘Dragon Age’ Web Series |

Everyone knows Felicia Day as the creator of the ultra-popular web-series, The Guild, and as one of the great Geek Goddesses of this Earth of ours. She’s also known from her work on things like Joss Whedon’s hit show and musical Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. Now, after offering her voice to a role in Fallout: New Vegas, Day is stepping back into the realms of video games. It’s been announced that the actress will star in a six-episode web series based on the highly successful BioWare titles Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II. The live-action series, titled Dragon Age: Redemption, will also be set in Ferelden, where Day will play an original character named Tallis. Of her character, Day said “Tallis is headstrong, she fights dirty, and she has a really sarcastic sense of humor,” she says. “I wanted to bring a modern sensibility to a fantasy character in a fantasy world.”

| Must Watch: ‘Mass Effect 3’ Announcement Trailer!
Another exciting announcement made at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards was the confirmation of BioWare’s Mass Effect 3, which came in the form of an announcement trailer. Unlike The Elder Scrolls V, everyone has known from the star that Mass Effect would be a trilogy much in the same vein as Star Wars, so seeing this was no big shock. However, it was set up nicely as being that next big thing that BioWare was working on and many wondered if it would be a unique title, so there’s still a bit of excitement in seeing it with your own eyes. The trailer is brief but exciting, as we’ve grown to expect from these games. It sets up what curiously looks like a storyline that will (at least partially) take place on our very own Earth. You can see the announcement trailer for Mass Effect 3 by heading down to the bottom of this post now!

| Watch Now: New ‘Dragon Age 2’ Trailer |

Bioware has released its first look at Dragon Age 2 game play with the Rise to Power trailer. You can view it here below.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing game play since the release of the cinematic trailer some time ago. This is usually where I first start to decide if the game will be a “must buy” or not, depending on how the game play looks. Right now, I’m still on the fence. The game play looks good, but definitely not great. The opening sequence in the trailer just looks choppy. Not what I would have expected for my first glimpse of what the game will look like. The quality seems to get better as the trailer goes on, but I just can’t get over the first sequence. The trailer makes up for its somewhat lack of image quality with something else, blood, and there is a lot of it here. Hopefully that translates over to the game. Who doesn’t like chopping limbs of orcs and other creatures?

| BioWare Strikes Again With Excellent First ‘Dragon Age 2’ Cinematic Trailer |

We reported a while back that Dragon Age II is coming. Today we have the first trailer. Now the trailer is very good looking, however, it is not game play, and you know my thoughts on giving judgment on a game’s look before I see game play. My biggest gripe so far about this game is it’s name. Dragon Age II seems to have nothing to do with Dragon Age: Origins, nothing at all. I guess I can kind of see naming it Dragon Age since the name is recognizable and the game did well, but people who bought the first game could be disappointed if they buy the sequel and expect the same experience, because they aren’t getting it. One main character to choose from, less choice in the type of character you will play, these are fundamental changes to the game, I feel it makes it not really a sequel but a different game set in the same universe. much like Halo Wars is set in the Halo universe but couldn’t be called Halo 4. You can see the trailer below.

Dragon Age: Origins is a game that I just can’t seem to finish, let alone touch the Downloadable Content. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good award-winning game, it’s just fallen to new more new fresh games.
Well game developer Bioware isn’t waiting for me to finish the first game, or the expansions. The August cover of Game Informer reveals Dragon Age 2! The game will feature an all new hero and a new region to the Dragon Age Universe. No release date has been announced, since all we have is the cover to the magazine. The article inside is 10 pages so stay tuned for some additional information once we have it.
