| ‘Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day’ Official Poster, Images & New Trailer! |
We’re now officially in October and the 30th is only right around the corner. On that day, we will finally get the sequel of the decade: Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, and there’s a buzzing excitement in the air we breathe! To fuel this excitement, Sony has released an official poster, a few new images to peek at, as well as the new Green Band trailer for all to see. The first and only trailer that we saw was of course the Red Band trailer that was released last month, so this new trailer is the first safe for work look at the movie. The trailer is basically the same as the Red Band offering, but there are differences and there’s definitely some new shots we haven’t seen yet, making it absolutely worth watching in full oogle-eyed fashion. The poster can be seen at the upper-right (click for full size) and it’s the high quality version of the poster that we’ve seen photographed at conventions. Geeks of Doom has had the honor of interviewing some of the great cast members of Troy Duffy‘s desperately-anticipated sequel, Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. And now, I’m pleased to present our own little chat with the best two good guy killers ever seen in a movie — the Boondock Saints: Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus! Whether you’re a super-fan of the original 1999 cult classic The Boondock Saints or not, you’ve very likely seen both of these gentleman in numerous other movies and TV shows. You can stay up to date with both of these fine actors by following them on Twitter, or by going to their official websites for all the information you need on all of the past, current, and future projects discussed in this interview. | Must Watch: ‘Boondock Saints 2’ Red Band Trailer Is Here NOW! |
How long have we waited, my friends? Ten years now, and after a long production process and painful post-production wait, the glorious trailer for Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day has been released to the masses! As with most first trailers, you’re mainly going to find a lot of eye candy here. You of course get to see the MacManus brothers back in action, you’ll get peeks at returning characters like Il Duce (Billy Connolly), and then you get a taste of the new characters, which includes the new sidekick, Romeo, and Willem Dafoe‘s (who’s not returning) protege, who is hot on the brother’s tails. Oh, and of course, there’s a hell of a lot of shootin’ going on here. For those of you silly peoples who aren’t familiar with the original 1999 cult classic, The Boondock Saints: it tells the story of two brothers who believe that they do God’s work by dispatching those who are associated with evil, because the justice system doesn’t take care of it. The script was raved about in Hollywood circles, but much complications arose, and the larger studios who were producing it stepped away, leaving up-and-coming director Troy Duffy to find independent financing and make the movie as big as possible on a small budget. The lacking budget can surely be seen in the movie, but it quickly amassed a giant cult following who have literally been rabid for a sequel for the last decade — a sequel they now have. Click on over for an official plot synopsis and the trailer! Be warned: the trailer is Red Band and semi-NSFW due to a small amount of naughty language, so you will have to prove you are an adult of sorts.

| ‘Boondock Saints 2’ Tie-In Comic Announced; Trailer Online |
Last year at New York Comic Con, Troy Duffy met with 12-Gauge Comics about possibly creating comic book based on The Boondock Saints (Read: The ‘Boondock Saints’ Comic Book?). Now, with the San Diego Comic Con upon us, it has been announced that a comic book tie-in to the highly-anticipated sequel Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is indeed on the way and will be announced at the convention. Duffy spoke to Comic Book Resources and explained that the comic will give us a more in-depth look into the origins of the infamous Il Duce (played in the movies by the fantastic Billy Connolly) and how he became a cold-blooded killer. You can see the first issue’s artwork above. If you’re heading to Comic Con this week, be sure to hit the 12-Gauge booth on Friday where you can meet director Troy Duffy and check out the Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day panel on Saturday, where the Boondock II trailer will be unveiled! Click on over to see the brief motion trailer that has been released for the comic. I’m not sure if the comic will actually be a full-on motion comic or if it’s just this trailer that’s using the style.

Clifton Collins Jr. is one of Hollywood’s truly unheralded talents. He has appeared in an impressive amount different movies, from summer blockbusters like J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek to comedies like Sunshine Cleaning; action movies like Crank 2: High Voltage to Oscar-winning dramas like Traffic, Babel, and Capote. He’s even done popular video games like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Acting is in Clifton’s blood: his grandfather Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez has a huge resume, appearing in movies like Rio Bravo with John Wayne and Dean Martin; as well as many TV appearances on classic shows like Gunsmoke, I Dream of Jeannie, and Perry Mason. For a while, Collins Jr. went by the name of Clifton Gonzalez Gonzalez in honor of his grandfather. Mr. Collins Jr. was gracious enough to answer some questions for Geeks of Doom about his work on the highly-anticipated sequel Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day and Mike Judge’s new movie Extract, as well as some other areas of his great career.
