Dark Souls Taurus Demon

Have you played Dark Souls, the third-person fantasy/horror/torture device RPG from developer From Software yet? If not, you really should…if you enjoy inflicting immense pain on yourself (sicko). While one of the hardest games you’ll ever play, defeating the overwhelmingly intimidating bosses of the game and eventually the game itself is immensely rewarding, and it’s one that every gamer should have mounted on their trophy wall. And with Dark Souls II not far away, you better get to it.

But what if the game was a first-person game instead of third-person? What if your face had to be even closer to the nightmare, ever wonder what that would be like? Wonder no more, as YouTube user SOULSLASHA shows you 11 minutes from the beginning of the game as a first-person RPG.

You can check out the video below.

Dark Souls II Image

Game fans rejoiced (and some wept) when it was revealed that Dark Souls II, a sequel to one of the hardest games ever made (click here for a NSFW but hilarious example) in Dark Souls, was on the way. Those feelings only escalated when we saw our first gameplay footage, which confirmed that this too would be an infuriatingly difficult game to take on.

Now comes a new trailer out of E3 2013 for the game, which is brief but still shows us some new footage. You can check out the new Dark Souls II trailer below now!

The 10th annual Spike Video Game Awards ceremony was held last night, and as always, gamers were excited to see if any huge new games would be announced. We went in hoping for another epic announcement along the same lines as Bethesda’s reveal of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim a couple of years back, maybe the rumored Fallout 4 or something from the recently confirmed Dragon Age III, but instead we got a nightmare resurrected.

Many people, myself included, were tormented by the relentlessly difficult game Dark Souls, haunting many of our dreams. But we sucked it up and fought through to obtain the invisible trophy you get when defeating such a game. Mine’s above the fireplace. Developer From Software, however, has decided they don’t want us to recover much, announcing Dark Souls II at the VGAs.

You can see the first cinematic trailer for the game below.

Dark Souls Image

There’s no denying that Dark Souls, the game developed by Japanese company From Software, is one of the hardest ever created. It can be viciously infuriating, yet the sense of accomplishment in conquering it makes it a must play for most who call themselves gamers, and not just those with an affinity for self-torment.

In an exceptional re-imagining of the game, someone has created a magazine ad for the arcade version of Dark Souls, complete with some screenshots of memorable moments/enemies from the game. You can check it out below.
