Detroit: Become Human

A new gameplay trailer for Detroit: Become Human from Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain, and Beyond: Two Souls developer Quantic Dream was shared at PGW 2017.

The story is set in the future, when androids have become highly advanced—to the point where they’re almost indistinguishable from humans. But these androids are treated poorly by many, who consider them mere objects, tools, appliances to make their own lives easier. As was the case with Heavy Rain, the game features multiple characters you’ll play as whose stories will change depending on the choices you make.

You can check out the new Detroit: Become Human gameplay trailer below, along with more info on the game.

Quantic Dream PS4 Tech Demo

Remember that super creepy yet unbelievably realistic old man’s head Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls developer Quantic Dream’s David Cage showed at PlayStation 4 event to share an example of how powerful the machine was? Many people said it looked that good because it was only one giant floating nightmare head, which may be true to a point. But now Quantic has taken it another step with a full tech demo of a game titled The Dark Sorcerer featuring that same creepy head (who turns out to be Braveheart and Ghandi star David Gant) with a body now attached to it and all sorts of other stuff going on.

Unfortunately it is just a tech demo; at first I was pretty excited it was an actual game (having missed the text at the beginning). Then things take a bit of a turn, and you’ll know exactly when that is when you watch the video below. It’s well worth your time, I assure you.

Beyond: Two Souls Image

Most gamers need only hear the name David Cage to become interested in a new video game. Cage and his Quantic Dream’s primary focuses are emotion and storytelling and innovation, which they nailed with Heavy Rain. The team then set out to build off of the foundation they had set with Heavy Rain, which led to the conception of Beyond: Two Souls.

We first found out about the game at E3 last year, when it was revealed that Ellen Page would be the star of the game and a very impressive preview was shown off. Now a new gameplay demo for Beyond: Two Souls has been released, and it is a big one. The demo was shown off at the Tribeca Film Festival—a first for a console-exclusive game—and spans a whopping 35 minutes. In it, you see all of the emotion, storytelling, and innovation Cage and Quantic Dream strive for, making it well worth your time.

Check out the full demo below!

Quantic Dream PS4 Tech Demo

Quantic Dream founder David Cage was on hand at Sony’s PlayStation 4 announcement to talk about the power of the new console. Cage and his company were behind the popular and innovative 2010 game Heavy Rain, and their upcoming title, Beyond: Two Souls, made a huge impact at last summer’s E3 Convention.

First Cage talked about the polygons of previous characters in his games, and how much more will be used for PS4 games—double the amount that went into his Heavy Rain characters. He then showed a very simple but very memorable tech demonstration of what the PS4 can do. The results are stunning, jaw-dropping, and just a tad bit creepy.

Click on over to the other side to see what Quantic Dream is doing with the PS4.
