| ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Scribe Tony Gilroy To Make $5 Million Off Rewrites |

Sometimes one man’s controversy is another man’s $5 million paycheck. At least for Tony Gilroy. As you may recall, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was embroiled in a lengthy controversy when the film entered a summer-long reshoot session that required the aid of Gilroy doing rewrites for the film. Normally, a reshoot for any film, especially one of this size, is not really a cause for concern, but because Disney and Lucasfilm were not pleased with the film’s tone, and that a rumored 40% of the film needed to be reshot in order to address some of its major issues, like tone. Now that the reshoots are fully behind us and Rogue One is already having its press tour, we can look forward to seeing if these reshoots helped or hurt the first Star Wars spinoff. Regardless of what happens, though, Gilroy is getting a nice paycheck out of all of this. One that amounts to $5 million. More on the story below.

| ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Tracking For $130 Million Opening
It’s been no secret that Disney CEO Bob Iger isn’t expecting Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to have the same opening numbers that Star Wars: The Force Awakens had. | ‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’ Trailer: Vin Diesel Turns Adrenaline Rush Dial To 11
Paramount Pictures has released the second trailer for xXx: Return of Xander Cage starring Vin Diesel as the title character. Diesel makes a return to the role after taking a brief (if you could call it that) hiatus. It is the second sequel of the franchise, with the first, directed by Rob Cohen, being released in 2002. It was then followed up by its mediocre sequel, xXx: State of the Union, in 2005, where Lee Tamahori took Cohen’s place as director and Ice Cube took on the title role from an absent Diesel. So after nearly a decade of “development,” Diesel is back as Xander Cage, and he is facing a threat unlike any other he has faced before when four deadly action junkies like himself come across a very dangerous weapon. So it is up to Cage and his new recruits to stop them. Check out the trailer below.
