Hot on the heels of last week’s fan trailer for Marvel’s summer superhero spectacle The Avengers comes another unofficial preview for another mega-budget major studio endeavor that sells the movie better than the highest-paid trailer editors in Hollywood can do with unlimited resources.

An industrious admirer of the forthcoming John Carter has taken all the previous released trailers and clips and created a trailer that does an infinitely better job selling the film than the official previews have.

The release of John Carter, Andrew Stanton‘s epic adaptation of the legendary Edgar Rice Burroughs sci-fi pulp adventures, is less than three weeks away and the creative madmen and madwomen at Mondo have cooked up an interesting little treat for the film’s IMAX 3D premiere.

Artist J.C. Richard has designed an exclusive John Carter commemorative poster that will be free to those who see the film at participating IMAX theaters on its first day of release.

Walt Disney Pictures has released three new clips from John Carter, director Andrew Stanton‘s mega-budget adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs‘ classic Martian Tales Trilogy. You can watch them here below.

In the first clip Carter (Taylor Kitsch) has his first encounter with Martian warlord Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe). The second is a scene between Kitsch and Lynn Collins, playing Dejah Thoris, where Carter’s dilemma becomes all too clear to him. The final scene shows Carter meeting for the first time Woola, a Martian creature known as a calot who will become the heroic Earthman’s faithful companion throughout the story.
