The $10 t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel is a Firefly-themed shirt (with a nod to the Alice In Chains album Jar of Flies) called “Jar of (Fire)Flys” by artist Dana Lechtenberg.

The sale at RIPT began today, Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

The $10 t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel is a mash-up of Firefly and Jurassic Park called “Jurassic Betrayal” by artist perdita00.

The shirt went on sale at RIPT today, Saturday, June 11, 2011, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

The design takes the logo for the movie Jurassic Park and changes the title to “Inevitable Betrayal,” which is based on a scene from the Season 1 Episode 1 Serenity of the television series Firefly.

Firefly The Complete Series Blu-rayThe Gold Box spotlight deal of the day over at Amazon today is Firefly Complete Series collection on Blu-ray for only $23.49 (that’s 74% off the list price of $89.98).

This deal is good only for today, Friday, May 13, 2011, until midnight PST while supplies last.

This Blu-ray edition comes with 14 episodes of the Joss Whedon scifi space western television series Firefly, which was canceled much too prematurely by Fox back in 2002 before the first season was even completed. This set includes the last three episodes that never aired on television.

Nathan Fillion EW cover

Let’s face it, Nathan Fillion is a geek god and we all kneel before him… now if only the world would realize how awesome he is!

Luckily, Entertainment Weekly at least knows we want more of the Firefly actor, as the magazine has acknowledged his Geek God status and made Fillion its cover guy for its March 25, 2011 issue, which hits stands tomorrow.

Fillion, who’s currently starring in the ABC television series Castle, graces the cover wearing a Green Lantern t-shirt, a nod surely to the days when the actor was widely rumored for the role of Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern file (a role that eventually went to Ryan Reynolds), as well as to the awesome fan-made trailer that actually places Fillion in the role.
