Ah, October. It’s my favorite time of the year – a time filled with haunted houses, Halloween mazes, and all matter of pumpkin-flavored things. But what happens when the fun of a good scare becomes deadly? What happens when the horror is real?

Directed by Bobby Roe, The Houses October Built follows a group of friends as they travel across the country in search of the ultimate underground haunt. Throughout the documentation of their Halloween trip, they discover that something evil is following them.

Produced by Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activity, Insidious), The Houses October Built is an indie found footage flick starring Roe, Brandy Schaefer, Zack Andrews, Mikey Roe and Jeff Larson.

RLJ Entertainment and Image will distribute The Houses October Built for a limited theatrical run starting October 3, 2014. You can see the film on VOD and iTunes on October 10. Check out the trailer and poster below!
