| Watch Now: ‘Gears Of War 3’ World Premiere Trailer
This trailer is the best minute I ever spent. Gears of War 3 gameplay footage, all to the sounds of Ozzy singing “War Pigs.” I wish it was more than a minute long. The game seriously looks Epic (pun intended). There are guys exploding from underground, giant monsters, tiny monsters, and all-out intense fighting. There also looks like their could be some vehicle driving in this here game. We also get a clue at the story line, it picks up with what was hinted at the end of Gears 2. Marcus’ father is alive, and now, you must rescue him. Gears of War 3 will be released on September 20, 2011. Enough listening to me, spend a minute and listen to some Ozzy, you can’t watch this only once!

| Video Game Review: Gears Of War 3 Beta
Gears of War 3
Beta
Platform: Xbox 360
Developer: Epic Games, Inc.
Publisher: Microsoft Game Studios
Release date: September 20, 2011 (full product) The Gears of War series has been one where I have loved the single-player campaign; it’s got lots of action and is just really fun to play. I have always felt the multiplayer lagged behind other games, especially Halo and Call of Duty. With this said, I was very anxious to try out the final game in the series, Gears of War 3, and see if they had brought their multiplayer up to snuff. Several of my gripes have been dealt with, others not so much. Hopefully they can be fixed before the final build; this is after all only the beta. Here are my long-standing complaints with Gears multiplayer and how they have been addressed.

| Watch Now: New ‘Bulletstorm’ Footage; Pre-Order For Chance At ‘Gears Of War 3’ Beta! |
By Merkader

Game publisher EA hit the twitterverse the other day to release a new video titled “Last Call” from game designer Epic Games’ new game, Bulletstorm. The video is a spoof of the Halo 3 ad titled “Believe,” using action figures a la Robot Chicken to show characters from the game.
At first I thought Epic was being tongue-in-cheek, poking fun at the ads they had made for the Gears of War games. Which I thought was weird since they have one more game to go. Then I realized that I’ve seen that advertising style before, in Halo. Now if they were making fun of Halo with a Gears ad it would make sense. They are both Microsoft Game Studio published games and Xbox exclusives, however Bulletstorm is being released by EA for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. I wonder what Microsoft thinks of all this? Both videos are embedded below for your viewing pleasure.

| You Decide Carmine’s Fate in ‘Gears of War 3’ |
By Merkader
| July 21st, 2010 at 5:12 pm |
Microsoft announced an interesting promotion today. Each of the previous Gears of War games has had a rookie, from the Carmine family, that meets their doom over the course of the game. Whether or not this happens in the third game in the series is up to you. Starting July 29th, you can purchase one of two avatar t-shirts, one stating to save Carmine, the other for him to meet his demise. Whichever shirt sells the most is what will happen in the game.
Now before you start yelling “Money Grab!” like I almost did, all proceeds will will go to the Child’s Play charity, which if you are not familiar with is a great organization. Lucky enough to be at Comic-Con in San Diego this week? You can grab one of these shirts in real life, at the NECA booth (#3145) for $20. I kind of hope he lives, but that seems unlikely.

Gears of War 2 fans have something to be excited about with next week’s Comic-Con in San Diego, even if they can’t attend — actually it might be better if you can’t. Check this out: Rod Fergusson, the executive producer of the Gears of War franchise for Epic games, posted on his Twitter account about 24 hours ago a little deal for multiple experience for Gears of War 2.
“Ok, here’s my bribe. The SDCC XP event will be # of my followers divided by 500. So 4000 followers means 8x XP”
