‘Alien: Covenant’ To Release Earlier Than Expected; New Poster Released

Another unexpected treat on this holiday is a brand new poster for director Ridley Scott‘s next Alien movie, titled Alien: Covenant. It’s about as simple as they come, and it’s a safe bet that no fan of the franchise is going to have even the slightest problem with that.
Even more exciting? The poster has a release date on it, and it is not the October 6, 2017 date we previously knew about, nor is it the even earlier August 4, 2017 date it got pushed up to. Unlike most movies, which often get delayed, the new Alien is moving closer once again with a new May 19, 2017 release date.
Click on over to the other side to check out the new Alien: Covenant poster.

DIRECTOR: Shane Black
WRITER: Shane Black, Drew Pearce
STARRING: Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Paul Bettany
Marvel Studios
RELEASE DATE: September 24, 2013
Now that The Avengers has come and gone, effectively ending Phase One of the Marve Cinematic Universe, it’s time to kick off Phase Two, which will include sequels to Thor, Captain America, The Avengers, and newcomer Guardians of the Galaxy. But what better way to start off the second phase than with the franchise that began the first: Iron Man.
Iron Man 3 sees Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as the eccentric billionaire with a heart of gold-ish (at least plated) and high tech armor for everything else, Tony Stark. Not returning this time around, however, is director Jon Favreau, who helmed the first two installments. Favreau appears in the movie as Stark’s former bodyguard and new head of security Happy Hogan and remains an executive producer, but it’s Shane Black taking a seat in the director’s chair this time around, which made perfect sense given that he’d previously worked with Downey Jr. on the excellent Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Directed and co-written by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), Iron Man 3 is both an end – the definitive conclusion to the Iron Man trilogy – and a beginning; the first entry in Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It’s New Year’s Eve, 1999. A disheveled, bespectacled scientist by the name of Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) approaches Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) at a technology summit in Bern, Switzerland. Killian invites Stark to join his think tank, Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM), but the billionaire playboy (not yet a philanthropist) is too busy puttin’ the moves on fellow scientist and all-around hottie Dr. Maya Hansen, played by Rebecca Hall.
Fast-forward 13 years where Aldrich Killian has become a charismatic titan of industry. His new human enhancement program, Extremis, turns crippled test subjects into super soldiers – most of the time. Sometimes candidates become human H-bombs and explode, vaporizing everyone around them into shadows and dust. That’s OK though because Killian has aligned himself with the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), leader of the international terrorist organization The Ten Rings, who needs soldiers (and bombs) for his movement.

Two New Suits Added To ‘Iron Man 3’ Hall Of Armors

When we found out that Tony Stark’s latest armor would be the Mark XLVII in Iron Man 3, it confirmed that he created many more suits since the events of The Avengers.
The latest trailer for the Shane Black-directed film confirmed that notion by displaying numerous suits. Whether or not we will see the 40 new suits in one film remains to be seen, but rather than have us guessing, the marketing team is showing us what armors we could see in the new film.
Check out the two new armors below.
