| Peugeot 208 Commercial Features Homage To Hanna-Barbera’s ‘Wacky Races’ From The ’60s (Video)
Surely I cannot be the only one that fondly remembers Hanna-Barbera‘s Wacky Races cartoons. You know, the ones where different cartoon characters race one another and all sorts of hijinks ensue? Well, the French car company Peugeot showed some love for the ‘toons in a recent commercial for their 2014 Peugeot 208. Where most car companies show an ad featuring their vehicles racing around or cruising through a cityscape, Peugeot has definitely gone above and beyond with this one. I’ve dropped the video in below so you can check it out after the article.

| ‘Doctor Who’ Infographic By Bob Canada
Artist Bob Canada has created a wonderful Doctor Who infographic with lots of great details about each of the eleven doctors and the Doctor’s background, as well as information on the TARDIS and more. The image above is a snippet from the infographic, so click it to see a larger, full view, and be sure to visit Bob Canada’s Blogworld site to see the highly readable super-sized [and printable, I’d say] version of it, and to read the artist’s thoughts on this project.

The animated cartoon concept created by KISS drummer Eric Carr before his passing may now become a reality thanks to Rocksville Nation Comics, which will be publishing a comic book including Carr’s Rockheads characters in an April 2011 release. In the second issue of Dyna Meecho’s Rocksville Nation, The Rockheads will be making an appearance in the adventure titled Ticket to Rockheads. According to a press release, the story sees two young rockers on their own Detroit Rock City-style adventure, desperately attempting to find tickets to the final sold out Rockheads concert. The tale essentially places Eric Carr’s Rockheads as the idols of the main characters, and sounds like a lot of fun.

| Presenting Your Next Hybrid Cartoon Adaptation: ‘Hong Kong Phooey’
Alvin and the Chipmunks. Underdog. Garfield. These are just a few of the classic cartoons that we’ve all grown up with and have since been turned into live-action/CGI hybrid movies. Now comes word of the next cartoon character to get the dreaded treatment: Hong Kong Phooey. Hong Kong Phooey is a Hanna-Barbera ‘toon about a dog named Penrod Pooch, a janitor at the local police station who does the superhero thing — turning into Hong Kong Phooey and fighting evil-doers with his sidekick cat, Spot. Phooey never really successfully brings any justice, usually foiling criminal plans by accident or with the assistance of the much more-skilled Spot.
