| Hailee Steinfeld Offered Kate Bishop Role In Marvel’s ‘Hawkeye’ Series
Marvel Studios’ television productions on Disney+ will be far more connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe than any of the other shows that came before it. That’s because most of the A-listers will be headlining these shows. One that is of particular interest is Hawkeye, which will draw from Matt Fraction and David Aja‘s series of the same name. In it, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) forges a partnership with Kate Bishop, and together they fight for justice. And now, Marvel may have found their Bishop. New reports confirm that an offer has been made to Hailee Steinfeld (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, True Grit, Bumblebee) to play the role of the young archer who, in the comics, eventually takes up the role of Hawkeye. More on the report below.

| SDCC 2019: ‘Hawkeye’ Series Finally Gives Jeremy Renner’s Character A Shot At Being The Lead
Though Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) is one of the founding members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Avengers, he never really had a major role in it. Yes, that started to change towards the end, but he is remembered as a supporting character. But that will change now that he will be the lead of his own show, simply titled Hawkeye, coming to Disney+ this fall. Though the show isn’t expected to debut until later in 2020, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige took to the stage at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about the upcoming series as well as Kate Bishop, a major character in Matt Fraction and David Aja’s comic series Hawkeye #1 (December 2016). In it, Barton found himself semi-retired and teaching Young Avenger Kate Bishop the ropes of being a skillful archer. More below.

| Jeremy Renner Is Open To The Idea Of A Hawkeye Series On Netflix
The Punisher is the latest Marvel character to be introduced into the MCU in Netflix’s Daredevil. And no doubt there will be a few more new characters introduced in three of the other series that the streaming site has planned. While everyone’s wish to have the MCU truly connect to the TV universe probably won’t happen anytime soon, there is one actor who is down for having his character have his own Netflix series. No, it’s not one of the A-list heroes, but rather a supporting one who really has yet to make his presence known. Jeremy Renner, who has played Hawkeye in Thor, The Avengers, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, says “if there’s ever a way to explore the character, maybe it’s in that world.” More on the story below.
