HBO has announced Confederate, the next project from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the creators, writers, producers, and showrunners behind their mega-hit series Game of Thrones.

The series is set in an alternate historical timeline, in which the southern states successfully seceded from the United States and events are leading toward a third American Civil War.

They built a steady following by combining their love of pop culture and alcohol, creating the popular Drunk Disney series. With the arrival of season seven of Game of Thrones mere days away now, White Walkers paid a visit to London to help promote the new season.

A group of them, led of course by the Night King himself on horseback, were spotted at various locations around London, including Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge. You can check out a video of the White Walkers making their way around the city below.

HBO has released a second trailer for the upcoming Game of Thrones season seven titled “Winter is Here.” You can find the first trailer right here if you missed it.

The new trailer is filled with peeks from the coming season that will surely leave you twitching with anticipation as you make your way through this last month before the new season arrives. There’s even an appearance by someone we have not seen in some time.

Back in 2015 we found out that HBO was considering a TV series based on the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons graphic novel Watchmen.

At the time Zack Snyder, who directed the 2009 film adaptation of the comic, was also attached to the potential HBO series. Snyder has since departed the project, but now a new talent could be coming aboard. It’s being reported that Damon Lindelof, co-creator and showrunner on LOST and HBO’s The Leftovers, is currently in talks to join the project.
